In the middle of La Gomera you will invariably pass through the Garajonay National Park (800-1000m over sea-level).Designated a world culture heritage site by UNESCO in 1986, the park is thankfully protected.
Ideal for hiking, horse riding etc. There are many areas still waiting to be discovered.
The Garajonay Park offers the visitor the possibility of enjoying various forest environments, often enveloped in a humid fog which sustains the rich plant life and nourishes small streams which spring from the very edge of the arid land. Here it is still possible to find Nature in pristine conditions, evolving even as it recovers its very essence.
